Network Defence was formed first in New Zealand
in July 1993 as sole distributor of the InVircible Virus
Defence System from NetZ Computing in Israel.
The technology and approach clearly had significant advantages
over the simplistic signature scanning offered by the anti-virus
industry, in that it utilised sophisticated behavioural
based programming techniques to combat enemy manipulation
of defence computers.
After thorough testing Network Defence introduced
InVircible to New Zealand and by late 1994 had gained a
large share of the market. During that year an office was
opened in Melbourne and the following year in Oxford (UK).
Today we have Sales and Client Support offices in the three
countries and the company prides itself in having the very
best service and support in the industry as well as providing
a product that consistently outperforms traditional "anti-virus" programs.
In late 1999 and again in 2001 The Australian Achiever
Awards gave Network Defence Australia Pty Ltd scores
of 86.2% and 92.7% for Customer satisfaction based on a
poll of the user base, which would confirm this dedication
to support and service. Of more recent times the company
has seen a need to offer its existing clients and new users
a multi-tiered security solution from the Email/Internet
Gateway through servers and desktops.
We now offer Gateway Email and Internet filtering software
from Marshal and Finjan Software to compliment InVircible
on Desktops and servers.
Network Defence solution provides compete protection
against the 'First Strike' of viruses and malicious code
as well as Email content filtering, solutions to monitor
Internet content and bandwidth utilisation.
Network Defence has acquired a very large number of
clients over the years in the Corporate and Government area
in the three countries and also supports a network of qualified
Resellers who supply our solutions to their users.
